In the clip, the househelp, who seemed engrossed in a TV show while feeding the baby some porridge, became impatient after the little one started crying. As the baby's cry and discomfort intensified, the househelp placed the bowl of porridge on the table and removed the napkin from her neck.
Githurai househelp's puzzling act What followed next puzzled the family when they reviewed the surveillance footage days later. Using the napkin, the househelp pressed the mouth of the five-month-old child, as if to muffle her cry.
In another part of the video, I watched how she also exposed our baby to germs. As she fed the baby, she used the same spoon to drink the porridge herself; it fell, and without thinking about maybe washing it, she just dipped it in the porridge and continued to feed her. The baby was probably crying during the feeding session because she was using the usual spoon to feed her, instead of the ones we had asked her to use that are gentle to the baby's gum," the father revealed.
