EPISODE 5: Chinedu’s Death
The de@th of Mama Nkechi was a silent warning.
The church ignored it. Pastor Emmanuel didn’t speak about it. No one dared to question.
Except for one person—Chinedu.
The Rebel
Chinedu was different from most members of Divine Grace Ministries.
He was a journalist, a sharp thinker who had always been suspicious of the church’s “miracles.” He had seen Sarah’s fear, heard the whispers about Sister Grace’s disappearance, and now, Mama Nkechi was dead.
It was too much to ignore.
So, he began investigating.
And what he uncovered would cost him his life.
The Secret Files
Chinedu started by visiting Mama Nkechi’s house, speaking to her children.
“They said God would bless her,” her oldest son, Emeka, said. “But instead, she d!ed.”
Chinedu’s hands clenched into fists.
The church had stolen everything from her, leaving her with nothing but despair.
Determined to find evidence, he bribed a church worker—a fearful young man named Ebuka—to give him access to Pastor Emmanuel’s financial records.
What he found was shocking.
The church had collected over 50 million naira in donations in the past six months alone.
Yet, none of it was used to help the poor. Instead, it was spent on:
Luxury cars
Private security
Mysterious “anointing rituals”
Secret bank accounts overseas
And worst of all—payments made to unknown individuals after major miracles.
The miracles were staged.
The testimonies were bought.
It was all a scam.
The Night Visit
That night, Chinedu met Sarah in secret.
“You were right,” he said. “This man is not a pastor. He’s a fraud, a criminal.”
Sarah shivered. “I tried to tell people… but no one will listen.”
“They will listen now,” Chinedu said firmly. “I have proof. I’m publishing the story tomorrow.”
Sarah’s stomach twisted. “You think they’ll let you expose him?”
Chinedu smirked. “What can they do? K!ll me?”
Neither of them knew how true those words would be.
The Disappearance
The next morning, Chinedu never arrived at work.
His phone went straight to voicemail. His apartment was empty.
At first, people thought he had gone into hiding. But three days later, his body was found in the forest—his throat slit open.
Beside him was a note, written in his own blood:
“DO NOT FIGHT GOD’S ANOINTED.”
The town erupted in fear.
People whispered, but no one spoke too loudly.
No one dared to accuse Pastor Emmanuel.
No one except Sarah.
She knew the pastor was behind this.
And now, she knew that she was next.
The Warning
That night, she found another letter under her door.
> “You survived the Anointing Room. But you will not survive what comes next.”
Sarah knew what it meant.
She had two choices:
1. Run
2. Fight.
And she had already lost too much to run.
She had to end this.
No matter what it cost her.
