MY PARENTS MARRIED ME TO A RICH MAN'S DOG IN EXCHANGE FOR MILLIONS
The moment I was shoved into the backseat of that sleek black SUV, I knew my fate was sealed. The man who had come to get me barely spoke a word. He simply gestured for me to get in, his expression cold and unreadable.
*
As we drove away, I glanced back at the house I had called home, hoping, praying—that someone, anyone, would run after the car and stop this m@dness.
But my parents stood by the doorway, counting the money, their faces filled with satisfaction.
I couldn't try escaping last night, because my dad locked me up in the store room. With heavy padlocks. I was only set free, immediately the black SUV arrived to take me.
*
Tears streamed down my face, but I bit my lip to keep from s0bbing. Cry*ing wouldn’t change anything.
*
The ride was long, stretching into hours. I had no idea where we were going, and I was too afra_id to ask.
The man beside me,who I assumed was the driver’s boss—finally broke the silence.
“You will follow the rules,” he said, his voice deep and commanding. “Do not question, do not resist.”
*
I stared at him, my body trembling. “Please,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “I’m a human being.”
He didn’t even blink. “You are what we say you are.”
My stomach twisted into knots. What kind of place was I being taken to?
*
Eventually, we arrived at a massive mansion, its golden gates swinging open automatically as we approached. The place was breathtaking, more luxurious than anything I had ever seen. But instead of admiration, all I felt was dread.
*
As the car rolled to a stop, two guards stepped forward and pulled me out before I could even process what was happening.
They led me through a grand hallway, my bare feet sinking into the plush carpet. Everything smelled expensive—fresh flowers, polished wood, wealth.
And then, I saw him.
WRITTEN BY PETER'S GRACIOUS
Sitting on a velvet cushion in the center of the massive living room was the dog.
A huge, white-furred beast with piercing blue eyes. It looked well-groomed, its collar encrusted with diamonds. It exuded an eerie sense of power, as if it knew exactly what was happening.
*
The man who had brought me here walked forward and bowed slightly before the dog. “Master, your bride has arrived.”
I felt the world spin beneath me.
Bride?
*
To this… animal?
Before I could scr*eam, someone grabbed me from behind, their grip like iron. A cloth was pres_sed over my mouth, and the sharp scent of chemicals filled my nose.
Darkness swallowed me whole.
